Much goes on in Clarborough & Welham and even more in the immediate locality. The sub-sections of this page provide links and insights into some of these while other sections (such as Out and About) provide even more. Please also see the range of links to a vast array of representatives and wider contacts that are spread across this site.
Key voluntary groups in our local community have, with the support of Clarborough & Welham IT Group, launched their own websites which can be accessed from our Group links sub-page.
If your group needs exposure on this website, or details need updating, do get in touch - put Group details in the subject bar of your e-mail from our Contact us section.
Clarborough & Welham IT Group’s classes resume w/c 10th June and a few vacancies still exist - so why not get in touch?
If you’ve never owned (or haven’t opened the box!) a computer and want to know what it’s all about, why not come along to our Absolute Beginners class starting on Tuesday 16th April in Clarborough Village Hall? For just £10 for 5 weekly sessions we will hold your hand (so to speak) while you learn how to get onto the internet, write a letter and send an e-mail - and maybe more. Use our laptops - or bring your own.
Two Tuesday classes are timed for 13:30-15:00 and 15:15-16:45. For more detail and to book your place, contact Greg (01777) 700 918.
And. if you pass these tests, maybe you’re ready to push things a bit further. Want to know how to process digital photographs (maybe to make them easier to e-mail), how to produce documents that mix pictures and text (say, for a promotional flyer) or get into using spreadsheets? If this sounds interesting, then you could find our Beyond Beginners class (Wednesday mornings, 10:00-11:30) ideal. Classes are arranged in 5-week blocks for a total charge of only £10.
The group currently has a waiting list of people interested in our courses - we desperately need more people willing to lead groups - from absolute beginners to those with more advanced skills across a wide range of areas such as digital image editing, practical use of spreadsheets to family history research to name but a few. If you feel you have something to offer as a volunteer, please get in touch...
