Across the country, on the evening of 21^st April, 2016 - the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - beacons were lit. These images were taken at Clarborough Beacon when Phil Gibson, Chairman of Clarborough & Welham Parish Council, was joined by fellow councillors to mark our local recognition of this historic moment.

A second Beacon lighting took place as a public event on Sunday 12^th June, 2016 starting at 19:00. To see the poster for this event click here...

Discussions took place at 9^th May Parish Council Meeting regarding some negative comments by local residents regarding the Beacon Lighting above that took place as a private event on 21st April. Reasons for that particular event not being open to the public are explored in some detail in the document available here...
