Bassetlaw District Council launched its drive to engage 11-19 year old students in their community in August 2015. The Bassetlaw Youth Council met on 14th September, 2022 at the Bridge Skills Hub in Worksop where members had a tour of the facility, followed by a discussion on the positives and negatives for Young People on the D2N2 devolution deal. This was followed by a vote where the BYC were in favor of the deal 5-3. The following BYC meeting took place on 17th November, 2022 at Retford Town Hall from 18:00-19:30 where there was a ‘Cake and Debate’ on the current voting age.
