Launched in October 2014, Bassetlaw District Council’s Digital by Default initiative is a revolutionary approach to addressing the needs of community members dealing with the wide range of district council services. It fundamentally shifts the assumptions underlying these communications and brings them squarely into the 21st century. The underlying assumption is that most members of the public will prefer to make contact by electronic means - be it molbile phone, tablet or PC.
Launched in October 2014, Bassetlaw District Council’s Digital by Default initiative makes electronic communications between local residents and your council the default option. Face-to-face, telephone and postal contacts are still supported, but it is expected that more than 75% of contacts will soon be by mobile phone, tablet or PC.
